Hydro-Man is a Marvel Comics character, whose real name is Morris Bench. He first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #212 (January 1981).
Bench gained his powers after accidentally falling into experimental energy-generating machinery while working as a crewman aboard a cargo ship. The machine was being tested by Roxxon Oil near a strange energy source, and the combination of the radiation and being submerged in water permanently transformed Bench into a being that can transform into water and control it.
Initially, Hydro-Man sought revenge on Spider-Man, whom he blamed for the accident. He possesses the ability to manipulate water in various forms, including generating powerful waves, creating tidal waves, and even becoming a part of larger bodies of water.
